What to do in Agadir?

Agadir is a city different from other Moroccan cities. After an earthquake, the city was completely razed in 1960 and rebuilt.
So do not expect to find an ancient city like Fez or Marrakesch.
Personally, I like Agadir for its calm, and of course beaches! It is very pleasant to walk in the evening on the beach, and the place is bustling with restaurants and cafés.

The beaches of Agadir :
Agadir is mostly known for its beaches. Take this opportunity to relax and take a good sunbath!

Souk el-Had :
According to most tourist guides, a visit is required in Souk el Had. I do not really agree, but not a fan of markets, my opinion is maybe not the best.
Go check it out and see for yourself. You'll find everything from an assortment of local crafts, jewelry from Tiznit and Taroudant, pottery Safi etc ... This is one of the biggest market of Morocco. Fruit stalls, vegetables and spices impress you without any doubt.
As for prices, I suggest you negotiate well safe but be careful not to ask too much;)

If your goal is to buy less, you can go to Inezgane Tlat souk (Souk Tuesday). This is a smaller market, but more local.

The Valley of the birds :
The Valley of the birds is a mini zoo in the city center of Agadir, which combines rare birds of South America and Asia, and mammals such as sheep cuffs and Barbary apes.
This garden is planted with many species, such as magnolias, banana trees, bougainvillea, oleander, ... with a refreshing waterfall.
Your kids will loved this little walk a few steps from the beach.

Sports activities in Agadir :

Quad biking with Agadir Adventure

We tested for the release quad with Adventure Agadir, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Well sure, it remains a tourist outing with a well enquadré turn. However, I do not know if it's because we were there in December, period "hollow" of tourism, but we got a guide just for us both. The tour alternates between mounted and descents on steep paths and pleasant walks on the beach.

It takes 20 minutes by car from the Marina to get there.
